I'm linking up with Christina at Sugar and Spice for my first Wordless Wednesday.

Coloured rice to use for sensory-based activities.

What sensory activities to you have in your classroom?

  1. Ooo how fun!! We've used sand to write words in. Kinda messy though haha! :)

    Thanks for linking up! :)

  2. I would love to know how you are using the colored rice. My co-teacher and I are incorporating more sensory this year to try and get more students' engaged and focused in their learning. She actually has a trampoline in her room:)

    1. Wow, a trampoline would be lots of fun in the classroom! I'm not sure how my kids would go with sharing it though. I'm going to use the rice as a sensory bin to begin with.

  4. You can do the same thing with pasta noodles. Dye them, I mean. I don't have sensory bins, but what a cool idea!

    1. I have seen some blog posts about coluring pasta, but I haven't tried it yet. Maybe that will be the basis for my next sensory bin!

I really like your blog banner, too!!

  5. Beginning of the year...salt boxes for letter sounds. End of the year...not so much. Maybe I should get back into them! Thanks for the reminders! Wendy 1stgradefireworks

    1. I haven't tried salt boxes yet, definitely on my to do list though. They will possibly drop off in my room later in the year as well, so I'll have to give myself a reminder!
